This is a multiplexer unit that works with Carsoft diagnostic software v7.4, and your Windows PC. The PC you use must have a 9-pin serial (COM) port. I'm not sure what the OS requirements are, but it works fine on my laptop with Windows XP SP2. I ended up with two of these systems (long story) and don't need the extra. I tested the software, multiplexer, and 38-pin cable and they work fine. (I don't have vehicles available to test the other cables.) I believe this system works on vehicles up to 2003. (?)
