When I purchased the car, it came with many service records, an important prerequisite which is almost necessarily when buying this type of car. After purchasing the car, I had the timing chain, water pump, rear sway bars, and battery replaced, as well as having a tune up performed, all by a reputable independent Mercedes mechanic. While I no longer have the original service records, I have the paperwork for the work performed during my ownership.

The car is running well and has no major problems. There is no rust (was a California car for most of its life). Tires have good thread. A recent visit to my shop indicated the car needs engine mounts, rear accumulators (the rear does not sag but is somewhat stiff), and front ball joints. The cost of these parts are approximately $500.

i actually had my mechanic check it out yesterday; he said the system is empty... i will let you know if its R12 or R134

R134A is a much better system today, try to find some of those Johnson's cans and fill it up your self.
