well its the motor the brushes are bad right inside the terminals(electronic savy friend told me that) but yeah when i would wiggle them and all the fan would kick right on so i need a new blower motor end of story lol found one for 113 just dont have the money right now to go buy it but untill i get that money for it i zip tied the two wires together so there is pressure on the terminals so it will work if you give it a little knock under the hood(wich i also left that stupid leaf guard off of it as well so i can do that) so untill the new motor gets here im SOL
I am so glad we found the problem. The good old precess of elemination sorry its your blower. As Cypress stated you can replace the brushes yourself or find a electric motor shop close to you that can repair it. I have a local altenator repair guy that I take all of my stuff to before I even think of buying one. I have had him do altenators, starters, auxillary water pumps and blowers basically anythng that is more expensive to replace. It usually costs me less then half of what a new part would cost. They can usually replace bad bearings, brushes reround and armature etc. Just a thought if you happen to know one or have one in your area.

yea got ahold of my friend and he said that he did some research on that motor and found a full diagram on how to do that so looks like im just guna have him do that for pennies on the dollar thanx for all your help man
Is the fan motor squeaking when running?
I'm asking you because I seem to have the same problem:
- Sometimes it works (after a big hole on the street ) and sometimes it's not...
- then, when I put it all the way at 3 position, it runs fast and nice, but if I put it on 1 or 2 it squeaks and seems to be stopping.
- Running it for a long time, it melts the fuse.
- Sometimes, when the fan is not working and the car it's at idle, if I move forward the switch I realize that the RPM is getting lower, like if the fan motor is absorbing a loooot of current, some other times it seems that it's not influent at all!
All this makes me think that the fan motor has old/stuck bushes and that makes raise the current absorbsion (sorry for my english, I'm Italian!) and melts the fuse, and (maybe) could also burn the fan switch.
So, if the engine squeaks, it's better to change the engine? Or it's possible just to change the bushings?
Thanks a lot!

Massimo
In your case you can be sure that it is the blower motor. The squeaking is coming from the shaft bushings. You can either take it out and have it rebuilt or replace the whole assembly.
Until it is repaired or replaced, I would minimize the use of the blower, since overheating can cause (at worst) a fire.

exatly what he said^^^ but if i was you i would look into a NEW blower motor even though you might need to spend a little more money just havin it rebuilt your still going to end up payin almost as much and you might as well splurg for a little more and get a new one..this is wat a few mechanics here in idaho have told me so im just following what they have told me

Yes, I know... thanks guys, my mechanic said that the one I have is not a Mercedes A/C, since it's 1986, and the blower is not expensive, around 150 Euro (225 US$ ?), so as soon as I have the money I'll have it repaired.
In the meantime the heating/AC is working by itself if I move faster than 30 Mph... good enough!
My wonder was if I had to change some more stuff... since I opened the dashboard and found out that someone cut a wire from the back of the plug of the fan switch and put it into the hole!!!! I'd want to cut the hand of the people that do such things!!!

Massimo, I realize that shipping to Italy from the US may be expensive but Autohausaz has the Bosch motor for $94. I would think that even if your car had the Behr, you could pop the fans off it and put the new Bosch in for much less than you have been quoted, even with shipping.
Even if your A/C is not MB, the blower motor is the same for all W201 cars.
That's exactly what I did, pulled the squirrel cages off the old & put them on the new Bosch motor. The motor wasn't that expensive...best part "new"...you'll know you don't have to worry about it for another 20 years.
