First of all, I am a regular poster on other forum websites and have plenty of people to back me up on my reputation.
1980 Mercedes 280E
Great condition, body is STRAIGHT, could eventually use a paint job. Only has 80,000 miles on it. It was stored in garage for most of it's life. When I obtained it 7 years ago, it was parked next to my parents house under cover. For fathers day, after years of complaining, I went and got it out of there. I did a ton of maintenance (Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, oil and filter). It also got a new alternator and battery. All new wiper blades were installed. All parts were Bosch/Mann/Mahle. Only the quality stuff. It has no stereo in it. Interior is factory fresh. One peice of broken trim and the passenger front dash under cover has a crack in it. It does have an exhuast leak at the rear muffler. Plenty of power, moves and goes good. Looking for $2000, let the pics do the explaining
She really is a peach. I have too many cars as is and have to let this one go.
I like it - biggest problem you'll have is finding a buyer because it doesn't have a 5-speed or a diesel (or both!). Personally, I love the 280e's, but the buyer's side of the market is not dying to buy them. Keep at it, try ebay last, but when you do go ebay, do a good ad with lots of really good photos.
