| Ultimate OEM nav setup for sale I have a original MB nav system for sale to fit W203 & W209 cars that have D2B fiber links.
The nav system (US style)comes complete with the original manual, custom made MB wiring harness with AUX connector, GPS antenna, etc. As a result, NO cutting or modifying of your factory harness is required. Strictly Plug & Play. The GPS antenna is about as big as a oversize stamp and fits perfectly between the glovebox and dash easily accessed by R&R of right dash cover.
My setup will also come with 2 map CDs. I have a original 2004 edition of region 5 (southeastern US) and a CD-ROM copy 2003 version of region 1 (CA & NV) which I duplicated from a S600 nav disc.
Here is the good stuff:
The purchaser will also receive this unique gear. 2 remote control units for the nav system. The first is the original Mercedes remote which I got in Europe and is unused still in the box. The second is a credit card style remote that I kept in the glove box.
Also included are the MB voice control unit (paid over $500 minus install), MB/Motorola Timeport phone, MB phone cradle and coiled connector cord, MB phone PSE, MB phone compensator and MB PSE mounting bracket for W203 sport coupe. These items (minus the voice control unit) alone cost me about $2500 prior to install.
As a sidenote, the MB phone is still active and works flawless. It comes with a spare unused battery, MB carrying pouch, and I believe I even have the Motorola sync cradle & software and a few extra chargers which I haven't located yet.
The phone is a Verizon CDMA unit and can be tranferred over to the new owner if so desired, upon making the proper arrangements. The phone also has insurance coverage for which I pay a monthly premium but I believe this can be transferred as well. Please keep in mind that this is a NON-GPS enabled phone. In other words, if the phone becomes de-activated Federal Law prohibits the carrier from ever reactivating it. So if you wish to use this phone in the real world, please make the necessary transfer arrangements with me prior to purchase otherwise I MUST deactivate phone prior to shipping.
I have used & tested this setup in both W203 & W209 platforms and everything works without any problems. I had both types of vehicles, the only requirement is that your vehicle MUST have D2B fiber optic rings, NO exceptions.
This is what you will need:
1) Installation of equipment (either by yourself if so inclined) or by qualified personnel
2) voice control lever (not included in purchase). Available from MB at nominal cost. The part is different between W203 & W209 and I think even on the W203 there were a few variations of the lever (cosmetically)
3) version coding of fiber ring to recognize phone & voice control. Please note that there is no coding required if only changing the radio/nav head unit. This has to be performed at the dealer as far as I know.
This what you MAY need:
1) Phone PSE mounting bracket. I am including the one from my '02 coupe but other bodystyles (sedan, wagon, W209) WILL require a different mounting bracket.
I will also throw in any phone accessories that I can find such as extra phone AC chargers, batteries, sync cables, docking stations. These are original Motorola parts, not MB parts but work flawlessly and will not void the warranty.
Asking $1500, shipping included.
