Just talked with my neighbor a few doors down the street from me. He wants to sell his 1981 380SL. He'd like to get somewhere around $8000 for it. I know the car a little, but not thoroughly at all. Here's what I know about the car:
Bill has owned it for maybe two years and is at least the third owner. He has the original window sticker as well as a good number of receipts. He has one receipt for over $6000 of engine work which included a conversion to a double timing chain. Since Bill has had the car, he has had some brake work done, put in new plugs, put in a new alternator and is currently having the blower motor repaired. The car is blue outside with a palomino (I think) interior. Car has the hardtop and Bill says the soft top is in good shape. The car starts fine and is basically a driver in its current condition. The car is in Ocean Isle Beach, NC which is midway between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington.
