Three months ago, I found the company, Virtual Junkyard, in Texas selling used body kit, headlight, taillight... I contacted David Munoz, the sales, and to order a 99 AMG front bumper for E-class. He asked me to send them a check as payment. I thought it is OK, because it is a company at that time....
I sent them the check on 2/5/05, and received a bumper on 2/20/05. But, it is a CLK W208 AMG bumper, NOT for E-class. I contacted David again. He promised me I will get the right bumper "next" week. However, nothing!!! I tried to call him many times, almost everyday after a week. He rarely answers my phone call. When he accidently answers, he always tell me, "let me check out what is going on, and call me 30 minutes later", and hangs up rapidly. Of course, he would not answer my phone again. I also write him email, the same thing, no response. I just keep calling and leaving message...
Now, my money is gone, and I got a CLK bumper occupying space....
My friend told me, I can't do anything with it. First, I can't sue them from California. Second, it is not fraud, because they did send me a bumper, just wrong. I felt so frustrated about it. If anyone knows what I can do, please advice me. Also, if anyone looks for bumper, headlight... whatever, be careful with them.
Damn that sucks dude, sorry to hear about that. I am also getting screwed by Al from [b]bestdealsonwhls.com[b/] he sent me bent rims on top of that each wheel came in on a different day for 2 weeks, called him and told him they were bent and had pics to prove right when they arrived I took photo's and also the wheel shop to vouch for me that they were bent. He agreed to pay for repairs and told me the money is on it's way as I couldn't wait I ended up paying out of my pocket to get them repaired first so when the money arrives from Al I'd have my wheels done. Well still nothing..2 months goes by and he doesn't pick up my call, I have to block my # just for him to pick up and he tells me the same story everytime I call him. I'm not the only person he did this to. He was also a "company" so I thought hey why not.. now I can't do anything either but just get frustrated I still email and call but nothing. [:(!]
These are just a few of the sites I filed with. If I remember right I think I filed with 6 different online sites. It worked for me. After being flooded with questions from government agencies the online retailer promptly made good on his word. The purchase still angered me, but I did get some satisfaction rattling his cage.
I am still trying to contact Them.
Last week, I used my friend's phone with different area code to call them.
David picked up the phone, and gave me a phone number from the office.
However, it is FAX number!!!
I filled out a complain on BBB's website last month, and got an email two days ago.
They told me that they have not receive any response from Virtual Junkyard.
No, I got a front bumper.
Actually, I knew the other two people have the same problem from Virtual Junkyard, and can't do anything.
One ordered AMG front bumper for W211, and receive W208.
The other order W208, but got for totally wrong.
If you are in not Houston, TX, you have to be very careful!
Once you got your item, you will not take care of you!
Take care,
Ben

Hey guys, I am a guest here... I was looking at getting some used "damaged" BMW headlights from Virtual Junkyard, but am now "iffy" about doing business with them.. I was wondering what was the outcome if any diffirenet of them just giving you the run around ?? I am looking to get some BMW E46 Headlights, they say that the housing is damaged, but that everything works, so not sure if i should get them afterall, considering i am in Los Angeles CA. If i had any problems with them it would be difficult to resolve them.
Thanks....
