Have had all fluids changed on my 2008 SL550 except the power steering fluid. What is in the PS reservioir now is a golden honey color. Is this MB, Chevron Texaco PSF 9109 or a type of Pentosin. I'd like to match what is there if necessary since I will only be able to pump out of the reservioir and not down any further in the system. Thanks....

Just changed mine 2 days ago. Mine was a dirty brown color, and if this is Pentosin, it is well beyond end of life. So I changed it.

Suck the reservoir dry with a turkey baster; fill with fresh fluid; start the car and turn the wheels lock to lock 2 times; shut off car and repeat. Took 4 cycles of suck out and fill to have clear fluid. About 1/2 liter used in the process. Good for another 90K!

Your manual states Chevron. Prior years, 2007 and before use Pentosin CHF11S.

I followed Gary's instructions here to do mine. Kbob's method is much easier though.

I was hoping to use some Pentosin that I have left from the ABC flush a few days ago but what is in the PS reservioir is a golden honey color not the light green of fresh Pentosin or the dull brown green that was in the ABC reservioir. Anyone have a good source for the Chevron Texaco PSF 9109? No sources here locally for me!

Dealer perhaps?

It is easy to drain the reservoir and clear the old fluid from the rack if you have access below the car. On the passenger side, disconnect the pipe that goes into the rack (may need a 'star' male tool for the bolt holding it in, don't remember for sure). Once the fluid has stopped draining, leave the catch pan under the rack and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock (without engine running) a couple of times to get all the fluid out of the rack. Then, put new fluid into the reservoir and reconnect the pipe to the rack when it starts flowing. Check to see that reservoir is full, start engine and stop promptly. Refill reservoir if needed, then with engine running, turn steering wheel lock to lock several times to be sure rack is full of new fluid (I prefer to do this with wheels in the air, so no resistance for the rack that may not be full of fluid). Check reservoir and refill to spec level if needed.

This completely purges the system of old fluid.
