TPMS

I recently had new rims / tires installed, the old TPMS sensors were removed
from the original rims and installed on the new ones.

I constantly get a message on the cluster about the tire system, I
attempt to reset it and it doesn't seem to take.

Sometimes I will get a reading on all 4 tires and then after stopping
for a while and then starting / driving I get the same error message.

Any suggestions?

I had a similar issue when I changed the rims on my SL55. It seems the installer didn't propoerly install the sensors and one dislogged in the wheel and another just stopped working altogether. I had the continus yellow wheel light on in the dash and sometimes would get the red warning light that I my tire had failed which it hadn't. I took it to tire shop and they had a tool that allowed them to check the sensors and could tell if they were bad. Once they replaced the two sensors I was good to go. I'm not sure if this came from the wheel change or if the sensors just went bad (which I'm told will happen after several years) but all working properly now.
