The Chrysler factory warranty just paid for itself
The ignition switch went out in my 03 sl55 after only driving it 1500 miles. I dropped it off at the dealer on Saturday and I picked it up today, and the Chrysler factory warranty covered the whole thing ($2000) minus my $200 deductible. This warranty really is as advertised .
Did u buy the warranty as a used car? I'm looking to buy one as I just bought a used 2005 SL and wondered if they make you go in to have the car looked at prior to issuing?

I did buy it for a used car. I have a 03 sl55. I had to get it inspected but that's no big deal.
Call Michael Case 888-324-3464. He'll take care of you.
Good to hear!!! I just purchased my warranty from him last week. How did the payment work? I forgot to ask him about that
It was really easy. The dealer called the 800 #. They got an authorization and I suppose they get paid later. When I picked up my car I only paid the deductible.
I too just had my first experience with the Chrysler warranty. Had difficulty starting the SL55 after it sat for a while. Was told the crank position sensor was bad and while it was there they noticed a bad pump for the active body control. Warranty paid for on first go round. I am being charged deductible + sales tax. Not too shabby.
I'm looking at buying a Fidelity warranty for a 2005 SL500 that is just out of the regular warranty (I bought the car used). I have been quoted a 6 year, 60K mile warranty with a $50 deductible for $3800. Thoughts? Any one have problems with Fidelity warranty services? This is for the Platinum warranty.
Good thing you had warranty. It's a shame the ignition switch went out on an 03 (very new car in my book), the deductible ($200.00) sounds a bit high.
The reason the deductible is high is because I chose it. The three tiers were, $3200 with no deductible, $2800 with $100 deductible, and $2200 with a $200 deductible. All three tiers covered the same items,so I choose the lowest price plan and figured if something major goes wrong (such as the ignition switch, top, or ABC) I would be more than happy to pay $200. I also figured 5 things would have to go wrong in 5yrs/70k miles to break even with the $3200 so I had +eV (positive expected Value) to take a gamble on the lowest price tier.
Now all that logic may go out the window, I have read a few horror stories. So far so good with my car.

Mac, I would make sure the following things are covered: all mechanics of the top,all electrical, the ABC suspension, and transmission. I would also talk to the dealer or independent shop you are planning to have the car worked on find out if they have ever dealt with the warranty and if they have a hard time getting paid or if the warranty has the owner pay and then "reimburses" for reasonable repair work.
