well I was driving home tonight after dark and all of my lights go off. pretty scary. anyway pulled over and the battery light visit workshop is flashing along with bas, and esp. well I restart the car but no lights and transmisson will not go into gear? so i left it on the side of the road and got a ride home. went back and ck the voltage on both batteries and they are both @ 13volts. ? anybody got any ideas?? maybe a fuse or something ?
I went back and got the car. It started but no lights and only 1st gear was available . Got it home in the garage and malfunction display says abs, showing battery light and esp, and bas sytems problems? Any ideas anybody ?
I will guess that the problem is either the main fusebox is not receiving power or the Signal Acquisition Module (SAM) located beneath it is bad. The fusebox is easily checked with your voltmeter; the SAM is quickly and easily checked with Star Diagnosis. You can purchase your own SDS from Chinese eBay sellers for about $800.

update::: Good news on the car. Took it to the mechanic and he diagnosed it as a bad voltage regulator. The alternator was putting out over 18 volts to the cars's systems and the computer shut the tranny off as well as the lights and esp systems as well as the braking sytems. It set 7 malfunction codes. Crazy ! Anyway $60 voltage regulator fixed the problem and the car is back working perfect. Sweet !!!
