I want to take the steering wheel off. How do you disable the air bag before removing it? Is there any thing to do or can you just take it off without worring about it?

I don't know, but personally I would take it to a mechanic.. I've read people say it can kill you if it goes off accidentally.

just had a shop change my I was there and watch all they did was remove the tork screws and pull the airbag out to disconnect the plugs on the back they left the battery connected but make sure you keep your key away from the car and don't start or turn it on with the bag disconnected cause it will cause a SRS light/ CODE. Pat.
