What is Delimit?

I never heard of this. Can you explain what it is?

German car manufacturers (with the exception of Porsche) ship their cars with a self imposed speed limit of 250 klicks per hour (155 mph).

You can get this limiter yanked, the ECU gets a software update and your car will then go beyond the limit.

AMG will happily ship the SL55 to you ex works with the limiter set to 300 kph / 188 mph, but beware: the fees are stiff, both if its done upon delivery and also when they do at a later stage.

Also, you might want to inquire if this affects your warranty.

And then there's always then question what good this will do in a country where such ridiculous speed limits are in place and enforced

In the Silver Sate Classic the cars legally run much higher speeds over 90 miles of US 318. Last year I ran my car at an average speed of 110mph with a "tech speed" (allowable top speed) of 124mph. If I do the 125mph run the tech speed is 140mph and not much mods for the car other than the 6 point belt. At 130mph (which needs a roll bar) the tech speed is actually 165 - way more than my car do when limited. (FYI the fasted cars averaged around 190mph!!)

Kar Tunz in Pleasanton ? Be very carful with this place, had work done here and they did a crappy job. Would never go back let alone let them do anything electrical.
