It's been about 85 to 95 degrees here in New York and think my 2003 SL500 is running hot, but not sure.
I noticed that when I am in traffic or just riding around going from traffic light to traffic light the temperature gauge is at steady 100 degrees - it does not go over 100 and no red lights come on, but the car feels hot to me. If traffic is moving on the high way driving 60 to 70 the temperature goes from 80 to 100 degrees.
Is between 80 & 100 degrees normal operating temperature during summer days or should I take it as a warning to get the car check out.
I check the coolant and it is full - Maybe bad thermostat??????
