1. how do you get the left (for uk) hand side mirror glass to 'dip' when one engages reverse.
2. how does one instruct the car to fold the mirrors in everytime I lock up with keyless go?

3. when you use the key fob in the dark, the locator lights come on...but with keyless go...they dont...silly question - is this becuse you found the car in order to open doors so locator lights dont come on...?

I had the same issue with my SL, I thought I'd turned it on by going to the Settings menu and ensuring that, under the Convenience sub-menu, the "Mirror setting when parking" was On. However, the bit that I'd missed was "Storing exterior rear view mirror parking position" (p. 121 in my manual) and you have to do that for each key (assuming you have Key-dependent On), otherwise when you select reverse, the mirror 'moves' but doesn't actually go anywhere.
Oh, and you also have to have the Passenger-side exterior rear view mirror button in the center console pressed, for the mirror to dip when you select reverse.

1) Make sure you have the left mirror selected in the adjustment dial (the left mirror adjustment must be preselected for the dipping function to work). Assuming your cluster setting is correct.
2) Should be a cluster setting.
3) Only the key-fob activates the lights. If you open the door with keyless go then you have already located the car.

Door controllers need some additional coding in that case. May not be activated for aut-folding. I am assuming that you can fold them with a button press and that you would like it automatic.
I did hear of a case where a technician activated the function and then it didnt work. I later found out that the car was not fitted with the related parts.
In this case I would assume there is something not coded. Look in the preferences inside the cluster.
