Had the same thing on my 2005 SL600. Had to take it to the dealer and have the seal fixed. Had the trunk leaking problem as well, and they fixed it all (crossed fingers).
It's a one day thing. Make an appointment. Question, have you noticed that when you apply the brakes at less than 1-3 mph, the steering wheel pulls to one side or the other? If so, that is also an issue they will correct under warranty by replacing a set of bushings.
Here's the part number for the bushings that they replaced. 211-333-29-14. The mechanic removed both front lower control arms and replaced the bushings. No more wheel twitch.

I need this done for my car, Lee. How many hours of labor did this take? Were the replacement bushings the same part number?
According to an M-B bulletin that particular "hydro-mount" bushing you mention can cause a knocking sound when going over a bump or applying the brakes. The solution mentioned is to substitute a conventional rubber bushing P/N 211-333-10-14. I'm curious to know if they installed this substitute on your car...
The bushing P/N 211-333-10-14 has been replaced by the part that Lee mentioned: 211-333-29-14. I brought my pair of torque arms to the dealer and they charged me 1-hour of labor to install the new bushings in the arms. I believe the dealer would have charged 2-3 hours to remove and replace the torque arms. It took me 1:02. It was easier than I expected it to be...
The bushing issue is one that I am involved in right now, I had what I thought was an motor oil leak, much oil on the garage floor. The dealer upon inspection, said that it was the oil filled control arm bushings that need to be changed, I could not beleive that the bushing could contain that much, dirty appearing oil, they got the after market warranty co. to approve the repair last week, I then got another call that the sub frame bushings also needed to be changed in order to align the front end back up. took a few days to get warranty co to cover those, much labor 6hrs. to change "sub frame" bushings. All this bushing replacement on a car with 20,000 miles, can it be? I see that there is a non-oil filled bushing to be used in place of the oil filled. Has anyone else been down this road?
Bobterry99, can you post or send me the link for the M-B bulletins, I would like to find it to review bulletins, I have 3 M-B cars and it never ceases to amaze me what chronic problems there are with these cars.
