hi guys, wondering if any one can help. I have an 04 350SL which sounds to me on take off like it has piston slap. I took car to merc and they said its normal on the 350 motor. Noise is very slight but can be heard through the cabin when the roof is on and windows are up. Can anyone out there give me any advice regarding this noise...
What I've known is that normally Mercedes engine parts are not that noisy... Maybe it's still covered on the warranty. Tell them again bout that disturbing noise with your engine. As a customer, you should be satisfied with their services.
good news took car to fourth merc dealer and they have finanly found the problem...... catalytic converters....they were echoing noise through cabin.....three other merc dealers all said engine noise was normal..... they call themselves mechanics
