Where can I find nav disk for 03 SL500

Hi,

Looking to get a hold of a Nav disk for the New York City area. I have checked ebay, but not to sure what I am looking for.

Someone give me a little info on what version I need and where I can purchase them at a fair price. I would even be willing to buy a copy??

I've got an extra CD set you can buy for 100 bucks for the entire set.

if you're willing to wait until the end of the month, mb will be releasing the updated nav discs but it will be around $350

So, if I understand this right. Any mercedes DVD version will work with my 2003 SL.

The only thing I am sure of is that my Nav unit is a DVD.

you need a cd. dvd based COMAND systems are in 2005 and newer SLs

Sorry, but I think you got it wrong. I just checked with the dealer and was told after giving the parts dept my vin # to my 03 SL 500; that my car needs a DVD nav disk. They told me that 1 DVD disk will cover North America and canada.

Can someone confirm this???

I think Don has it right my 2004 SL500 Nav only takes CD's.

Yup. My '04 uses cd's, not DVD's. '05 is the changeover year to DVD's. Make sure you can try the cds before purchasing them.

I am looking for disk #7 for an 04 sl500 - Any help would be appreciated

My '03 uses CD's. If your '03 has the factory, untouched, unmolested, unfooledaroundwith unit, it takes CD's too. If your unit has a square screen, and not a rectangular screen, ...... CD based unit.
