Most of us would not think of putting a cup of coffee in the cup holders that Mercedes has placed so close to our COMAND center.

Today I found, quite by accident, something useful to stick into one or both of our car's cup holders. This one is shown on my SL55AMG but I am going to bring another one back to Bangkok for my SLK.

It is a foam padded insert that will hold sun glasses or a cell phone or anything else that you might want to put in it.

I bought it in the automobile section of Target for $4.95.

It is perfect place for my wife's sunglasses.

I use the special design Mercedes cups to put my drinks in. I got mine as a gift from my salesman when I purchase my car.

I got a MB coffee cup that came with the car a few years back. Its such a great cup that I use it every day... in the car or not. I like the tall one and you can buy more of them from the MB catalog. As far as in the car goes, they fit nicely in the cup holders and never have a problem with spills or drips.
