SLK 2013 Command System Malfunction

Anyone have a problem with the Command System malfunctioning? I have a two day old 2013 SLK that is having a problem. The command system failed upon driving the car home from the dealer, Once I let the car sit for a few hours the system worked. Its like the command system (sat radio, media, ipod, navigation, etc) blew a fuse or something, it doesnt start when the car starts and if you shut the car off and restart still the same issue. If you let the car sit a few hours then it comes on. ...so its not a fuse.

Anyone else have this issue and what did the dealer say was the problem? I am afraid it will work when I take it to the dealer, and my local dealer isnt very receptive to issues if you cant hear the problem or show them the exact problem.

I would video the issue, if can and show your dealer and you will defiantly get more responses on slkworld

I may have had something similar on my new 2013 slk 250. Windshield washers wouldn't work so took it in to dealer. CAUSE: Electrical fault in the steering column. Replaced control unit (had to order from Germany) & software update.

When I picked up my vehicle yesterday at first my radio/sound system would not work. After approx 1-2 minutes it came on normal. Weird behavior in my FROM START: reading. MPG topped 45 (mpg). Windshield washers di work however.

Worried about it all night but this morning on an extended run 35 Mi+ EVERYTHING NOW APPEARS TO BE NORMAL. Let's hope at least.
