I just got a 06 black slk 350 with the amg package on it. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where i can get the SL antenna on it from without having it painted or what that process is. Ive seen in a bunch of places that it doesnt work as well but that doesnt bother me i just want it to look right and im kind of confused as to where to get it from. Also i purchased 19" inch black rims for it and i have yet to install them and i was wondering if you have to lower the car to get the look for johnny's slk (here)
A SL antenna you get from each Mercedes dealer - about 20,00 Euro painted
Lowering: 2 possibilities:
1. just springs - take Eibach - about 200,00 Euro plus work
2. springs and absorbers - take Bilstein PSS9 B16 - about 1.400,00 Euro plus work

whats the better option and if im having rims installed on my car that are 19 inches can i even lower the car? and does that dude in the picture i posted have it lowered because i like that look.
does the slk world store sell SL antenna's or only r170 antenna?
SL is painted, SLK170 just grey plastic. But: the 170 is working a little. Best option: take the one from the facelift R171.
You can - the car is lowered no doubt. If you lower look for the rubbers. Some face problems with 235 and 265 - I took 225 and 255 from Hankook with no rubbing issues.
Some guys are taking the euro 170 and modifying it to get better reception. There is also the factory MB facelift midsize, or you could try the SL. Here are some options -
