Remus exhaust sounds like fur balls

This is my first post ever. I have an '05 SLK350. I loved the baritone sound of the original exhaust, but I wanted a more resonant sound so I installed a Remus sport exhaust. This is an axle-back installation. I like the looks of the quad tips, but now when I floor it, the car sounds like a cat coughing up fur balls. I hate to wade in any deeper, but anyone have any experience with this exhaust after doing the mid-pipe/resonator delete? I don't want the car to be too loud or harsh. Would it be possible to post a sound file? What is the best source of the resonator by-pass pipes? Thanks!

1. you keep the house cat
2. you sell it and buy a Piecha Performance
3. you sell it and buy an original AMG 55 exhaust
