Emissions Recall Notice Received Today

Model years 2005-2007, Campaign #2009-060005. Due to a software error, the vehicle fuel tank leak diagnosis system may have been inadvertently deactivated during a visit to the workshop. Fix is for the dealer to recode the SCN. take approx. 1 hour and is free of charge. has anyone else got this notice?

I received it yesterday. My car was already scheduled for a visit tomorrow so the timing is great. I usually receive a notice like this shortly after I've been in for service.

I received mine too but apparently they took care of this campaign when they discovered a that the trans control unit was internally defective... All covered under warranty.

Thank you for posting the above message. Is there any indications (lights, warnings) to indicate there is this kind of related problem. Or you just have to check with the dealer? Thanks.

I got one too. I love the line in the letter which says if you fail to take care of the issue it "could be determined as a lack of proper maintence on your vehicle." What does that mean? You screw up the car and now its my fault for not taking care of it? Nice customer service.

I called my SA and asked about this recall if it applies to my 2005. He said it doesn't. How do i know, is there a way to find out, or just take his word for it? what kind of sign you look for when driving? Thanks.
