I'm new to the SLK world and I have a few questions on what the upgrade paths are from the Audio 20 on a 54 plate 350, also need help with the phone kit that it came with.
I don't currently have a CD changer or an AUX port. I do own an IPOD Belkin FM thingy that im using at the moment but to be honest looks a bit temporary and I crave the nirvana of track selection through the steering wheel controls and maybe in dash video (depends on cost obviously and hassle of upgrades).
So what were the standard Audio head units? I believe the Audio 50 was the SAT nav but I haven't seen any install guides as to how you go from an Audio 20 to an Audio 50, is it possible? Also what was the 6 disk CD changer called and is it a straight forward plug in install or is their bits of loom missing (glove box and/or in dash)?
The car came with a phone cradle installed made by PVT anyone heard of these as I can't find anything on google about them?
The actual phone cradle is detachable and the detachable bit fits Nokia 6000 ranges and has a model number of 022152 and a serial type number of PVT V3 006080.
What I'm trying to identify is if PVT are still in biz is there an iPhone or Blackberry cradle that will fit the car bit?
