Bonnet / hood closing

Hi there,

Another newbie question: I have a 2004 SLK 350 and I've noticed the bonnet doesn't really sit flush when closing - there's anound 2cm gap between the lip of the bonnet and the around the Mercedes badge - is this normal? (Yes, the bonnet is closed securely)

yes it is normal. you probably have a 05 slk 350 bought in late 04, but model year is 05

jbanks15, the SLK 350 was introduced in Europe earlier than in the US and it was a 2004 model. I've ben confused on this issue a time or two in the past.
