I'm glad to hear you and your mother are alright. If you only take your car out for the season I would have def gotten the Mars red with more options. I'd love to see some pictures!
Hey Benz Frenz ! Here are a couple pictures of my replacement car. It was nice this weekend and I took a drive about 20 miles from my home and I pulled over to take a couple of pictures. Although I LOVED my black SLK, I am getting used to the red and it's a serious neck snapping, head turner just like the black one was...it seems to be even more so...or maybe it's the driver. LOL. Anyway here are the pics and I'll post more after I put my custom rims on in a couple of weeks. Oh and the last pic is a view of Mt. McKinley (Alaskans call her Denali) this is the view that I saw from my little roadster on this day. I see her often on my drive to work every day. Enjoy!

Yep, only mars is hotter!
That guy is lucky you were in a Mercedes. He'd really be in for it. Too bad he couldn't still be in for my trouble and you be ok too, he's going to hurt others.
Stay safe out there!!!
Stories like these - sure makes you want to stick with a Mercedes especially when you're getting a beautiful roadster like these. Who else makes a small car so safe? Love MB!

I always knew that the Mars Red was hot! I dunno abouth the chrome around the taillights, though. Seems out of place to me, especially since there really isn't much chrome on the rest of the car.
The Chrome is definately a US thing. Even dating back to the old Porsche's where they used to have big thick bumpers and loads of chrome round the wheel arches.
Oh Yeah...the Chrome is SOOOO gone!!! Especially when I found out it's not even real chrome...it's plastic. My son said that it would come off without a problem. He believes it's stuck onto the headlights and taillights with doublesided tape. As soon as he comes home in a couple of weeks he said he would take it off for me. I didn't much like it when I saw it, but I figured it would be an easy fix...a much easier fix than the beige seats in the black one :-). I'll post new pics as soon as all of that is done. Oh and ValKirk you are dead on...it is a VERY U.S. thing! Every car here in the past 3 or 4 years seems to have Chrome all over it. The dealers put it on when the cars arrive. To me, it only looks good on black cars...and only in moderation. :-)
