Thanks for sharing more pix. That red accent striping on the engine cover is pretty interesting. Matches your interior. Do you know whether all engine covers have that red accent stripe? I also like the subtlety of the turn signals on the back sides of the exterior mirrors. They may not be as visible as current models (because of the difference in size), but from a design standpoint, I would think that they'd look pretty sharp at night.
I thought I saw one of the post that the turn signal on the facelift only lights up at the tip, not the entire lense.

Maybe Walrus83 can take a night shot to show us what it looks like. My guess is that the two converging lines on each mirror light up for the entire length. (At least that's how I would design it. LOL.) By lighting up the entire length, the signal would be more visible to oncoming drivers than simply lighting up the tip. I also think that from an aesthetic standpoint, it would be more appealing. Then again, I've been wrong before...

Hey Walrus the car looks great - exactly same colour combo as mine - but your steering wheel is on the wrong side! Thanks for the heads up on the memory seats - it's a real shame cos that was a really useful feature for me. I just use one of the memory positions before I get out in tight spaces. But although I think the facelift is a big improvement have you noticed there are a few cost cutting measures - the seat issue, no extra compartment in the centre console glove box, the boot (trunk) carpet is a bit cheap, no dedicated switch for the headlight wash wipe. My impression is the bean counters took precedence over the users!
Still its a great car. I've got 1300 mls on it now so expect to be doing some harder accelleration! good luck
Nice car Walrus! Come to my house on monday and I'll help you install the Piecha module
I see you finally got a 'manual' SLK after the cock-up by the dealer on your previous SLK 350 (for those who don't remember, he ordered manual, and received a 7G automatic... tsk tsk).
