Confession Time...whats the TOP speed you've seen on your speedo's?
I keep reading varying reports on TOP speeds and seeing snap-shots of speedo's with the needle just about to clean the dusty parts off the inside of the dial!...Nice
What do you guys reckon these cars are really good for?
I'm particularly interested to hear your claims in respect of the 55 (inc P30 pack) but of course, I'm sure we'll all enjoy hearing what you guys have got to say about all the other models across the SLK range too...
So fire away...enjoy

155. Car felt solid. I don't think I hit the limiter or least it was slowing. I let off as I was too scared to get thrown in jail. Of course, empty road for 3+ miles but you never know if CHP is lurking around.

I topped mine out on two different occasions for 140 -- with the top down, BTW. I think it's speed limited in the 150's. As dsb, though, it was more a question of "what if a CHP was nearby".
My car is limited like all Benz's in Switzerland. It won't go above 250kph (although on a downhill speedrun, it did go all the way up to 256 or 257kph for a short while).
