MB has always been pretty cautious with design - never suicidal like BMW with their BANGLED sheet metal or butt - MB's designs have always been evolutionary rather than revolutionary
The rims on that car are horrible. I echo the earlier sentiment, " I want to throw myself into them like a suicidal bird staring down a 747"
The "eyes" of the car definitely look like a cat. And I hate cats.....

these are obvious photoshops from existing photos the first from the black series pictures. looking back in May I went to a private non-media release of the new CL, there were no pictures of the car really about then. so would there be anything out 4 years prior to a release of a new SLK?
Beats me where supposed pictures of a car that's four years away come from, and why people think it's anything other than wild speculation which doesn't even originate from Mercedes-Benz.
Looks hideous to me, but that's fine. MB screwing up this badly would only confirm the status of the R171 as an instant classic. I don't believe this suicidal design will go into production though.
ditto.
