I thought the 2007 SLKs had paddle shifting.. Is it only the 55s that got it?

If you need to have the paddles, I'm afraid that there's no alternative solution available so far.

If you just want the shifting knobs to be "left = down" and "right = up" you can easily do it on your own (like I did). The most difficult part is to find out at which side a soldering iron gets hot...

Here's a pdf that shows you how: http://www.mbslk.com/files/artikel/S...ippenumbau.pdf

If you need assistance with german text translation, let me know.

Hi There!

I ordered paddels for my 55 slk. AMG .....after 2 months they told me I would have to send the car to Germany to have them installed! Silly Boys!
I have found a company in Germany who got them for me.........should arrive within the next two weeks. They have to be car specific to serial numbers.
However this company will only sell to shops and not individuals as they race DTM
Ps I do believe they can only be retro fitted up to June 2006.Will keep you posted and post pictures during and after instasllation. The cost including shipping was $ 1.200,00 Canadian dollars. Plus Installation.......
Ps. I started this search 2 weeks after taking delievery March 30/06

Where did you get these paddles from as i am interested in some of these. I presume they cannot be fitted yourself? Where are you intending to get them fitted?

my 07 model slk350 is coming with paddles installed. Maybe that is an Australian spec or something - I thought it was standard on all 350 and 55's.
