Has Anyone Painted Their Hood Star To Match The Body Color?

If so, I'd appreciate seeing a photo, especially if the star was painted to match a silver 350 SLK's body paint. Are their any other cosmetic changes besides the fins that any forumites have done to their SLK?

No, don't see the need to, I like the shiny star.

There's alot of cosmetics mods out there, but I like the clean look and I think the SLK is one of the few cars out there that doesn't need alot of cosmetics to make it look good.

My mods so far are all cosmetics,

1. 19" DCR hockenheims
2. 15% 3M tint
3. Hood Aerowings
4. AMG rearlip spoiler
5. r170 short antenna painted
6. Painted side markers
7. Sylvania indicator bulbs
8. Brabus lowering springs
9. Brushed Aluminium door pins
10. Comfort Roof Module

Most cosmetics mods could be purchased at performanceproducts.com, f o r m y m e r c e d e s . com (no spaces), and piecha.com

The Chrome mercedes emblem is good the way it came from the factory, I dont see why to paint them matte black for example , It will just spoil the SLR look the SLK has

Thanks for the answers... I agree with Ynot that the SLK needs few cosmetic changes, as it's pretty well prepared as is. I have the rearlip spoiler and chromed door pins, and wanted to see a subdued mercedes star to see if it was necessary. It kind of grows on you...

No. 10: Comfort Roof Module is functional rather than aesthetic, IMHO.

Wouldn't that be like slapping red, white, and blue paint on the Statue of Liberty or the Washington Memorial?
