When was the official release date of the SLK55 AMG..........

in the UK. Was it in 2005 or 2004? Does anyone know what month?

... from memory - I would have prefered a 55, but when I ordered my current car in Jul 2004, the R171 350 had just come out, and the 55 was not due for another year. I picked mine up from the factory in early Nov 2004, and I'm sure the first of the 'pre ordered' 55's were not delivered till bout June 2005.
