K40 install pictures

I had a guy over today to install the K40 unit in my SLK350. It took about 3 hours and there was a mishap or two (they're coming back to replace one of the glass circles in front of the spedometer thursday) but I think the result was a pretty clean dash:

RE: K40 install pictures

Here are some videos (you'll need quicktime) of the lights going off. Note that the top one means front radar and bottom means rear radar.

First, starting up and cycling through its sensitivity modes:

Second, driving in front of the grocery store in high sensitivity mode:

All in all I haven't actually passed a speed trap yet so I can't say much about it's sensitivity but I think it's a good install. The pictures actually make the LEDs look brighter than they are; you don't even notice them unless they're going off. And they're flush mounted so they don't pop out. The remote is neat and shouldn't be a problem to toss somewhere -- perhaps it's time to buy the full-width replacement for the ashtray?
