I had the Easy Entry/Exit feature in Europe, but it seems that now that I have the car delivered in the US it no longer functions. I see it in the settings menu (it's enabled) and I even see it in the manual I was given at the dealer in the US. So what gives?
Any chance someone could reactivate it with the right equipment? If anyone had the docs on how to turn it back on, I'd love to print it out and show to my dealer at the 1-3k mile service visit.
Have you tried turning it off, and back on. Change the position of the seat whilst doing this. Maybe the easy exit off, and on position have been set to exactly the same thing (it can be done).

Thanks for the idea, but still won't come on. I also tried resetting the settings by holding the R button, that didn't have any effect either. I remember hearing it was disabled in this year's models..does it work for anyone else in the US with an 06?
My owner's manual indicates that I have Easy entry/exit functions for both the seat and the steering-wheel but in fact, only the steering-wheel can be programmed. I do have a 2006 but there is no date on my owner's manual. I suspect they gave me a 2005 manual. I had my car in August and I suppose the 2006 manual was not ready at the time. I find this quite annoying. [:(!]

In the US the 06 manual has the 280 listed and the 05 dosn't.
I think I would've been happy without it if I knew it was really gone. But since I had it in Europe and I see it in the 2006 manual I'm going to ask MBUSA for answers when they reopen monday. Very strange.
