Given the rarity of SLKs here in Vancouver I never actually test drove one, I just sat in one for a bit. My order is 'pending test drive' but somehow I doubt I will not like the SLK 55 that is coming my way!
However I do have one question. I am just under 6'3 (190cm) and am wondering if there are any other tall SLK drivers out there. What is your experience driving the car? This will be my daily driver so it needs to be comfortable. I assume it will be fine but it does nag at me a little bit. I remember driving a Z3 and I felt like I was stuck inside a child's toy. My current ride, an Audi TT coupe is just fine.
Thinking: I'm 6'4" and fit fine. The car does not feel too small. I don't have the seat all the way back and have good leg room. I have about 2" of headroom with the top up. About the same legroom and more headroom then my C5 Corvette. You should fit no problem.

My co-worker is 6'5" and he sat in my new SLK the first day I drove to work.
He was amazed that it fits him well when the driver seat set all the way to the back without opening the top.
Well, I had the power seat option which I could lower the seat as well.
You will not have to worry about headroom or legroom. I have had a '99SLK, and my new 2006 SLK is about to be delivered from the port. I am 6'3", and I am "tall wasted". There are many cars that I have a problem with my head brushing the headliner, especially with sunroofs. The new SLK has more room than the old design, I did fine in the old one. That has been one of the great features of the SLK. It is about the only compact sports car that a tall person can comfortably fit in.
