Dealer called me and told me that the leather can only be ordered in bits of 5 square meters (so maybe 2x3 meters or something like that).
Since the price is 300chf per square meter, total price is 1500chf [B)]
Why'd it have to be so expensive... nevermind the fact that I only need a small, small portion of it, and I can't seem to find a leather shop anywhere with the exact same leather type and color >:(

I was thinking that the piece of leather is basically the entire cow hide, painted in the particular color, and the entire surface are of this hide is 5meters square. I highly doubt the hide is entirely square or rectangular.
However, when you buy a piece of it, MB guarantees the size to cover 5 meters square exactly. Obviously smaller cows exist [;)]
