Floor mats??
Does anyone have a part # for the AMG floor mats that are supposed to come with the SLK55? Mine didn't come with them, and my dealer can't find any such part.
Thanks!

No, the '55s do come with AMG floormats. Mine did. Sorry, Florp, don't have the part number.

RE: Floor mats??
I'm just getting a plain ol' 350 SLK, but my dealer told me that I would be getting the floor mats gratis. He said that if I wanted the "all-weather" floor mats, though, I would have to buy those.
For some reason, I can't see putting those rubberized mats in an SLK - unless, perhaps, you live/drive in a place where you're sloshing around in mud all of the time. Does anyone out there use those mats or are most people using the regular mats that come (sometimes) with the car? [?] They would offer extra protection, but, aesthetically, they don't seem like a good fit, IMHO. [:I]

RE: Floor mats??
My rep told me I would get a free pair of mats for my SLK. I haven't decided on whether I want the rubber ones until I see if I drive it in the snow.

RE: Floor mats??
Snow??? [:0] The only time mine is coming out of the garage is if there is NO precipitation on the ground. [^] Well, okay, because I live up in Seattle, maybe it will get a taste of a raindrop or two, but not much more. [;)] I can't imagine that a rear wheel drive car would get very good traction in snow. Plus, I wouldn't want to chance it with all of the idiotic drivers around here - which is about most everyone because we don't get much snow and no one knows how to drive in it. [xx(]

Slip, sliding away!!!
Where is your adventuresome spirit? You mean I can't load up the boot with sand bags?
This could be an interesting winter. I could just stay home from work.

RE: Floor mats??
I was reading my manual last night and saw that I can't put chains on my tires, so no trips to Tahoe in this car this winter.
