RE: This site should look into their sponsor www.r171.co.uk who seems to be ripping everyone off
Frank,
Thank you for responding. Its a bit later than most of us would have liked but its nice to see you taking action.
Please keep us up to date on this rather interesting case as I would love the Vario module myself - if it really exists.

Yes I know it's a bit later but I honestly didn't get any emails. Also, if you didn't see my announcement before, I just got back from a long absence (about 4-5 months) since my mother had a stroke (aneurysm) and I have been in and out of the country. I am slowly trying to get everything back into shape (recent upgrades, server transfers, etc. etc.) and slowly replying to all PMs and emails I have received although only 1 PM about this from Wooly and 1 Email from Jack W.

Frank,
I hope your mother recovers quickly.
I am guessing some of these events prompted you to get some more mods onboard with you. Good move on your part.
If I can help in any way, feel free to ask.

I also have a vario roof module on order from www.r171.co.uk and have been waiting months for it. They have sent me a massive list of unbelievable excuses as to why i have not received it yet.
I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ONE AND NOBODY APPEARS TO HAVE ALTHOUGH THEY CLAIM TO HAVE SENT 260 OF THEM OUT SO FAR.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE MORE RECENT THINGS THEY HAVE TOLD ME (LIST GOES ON FOREVER BUT I HAVE JUST LISTED A FEW'
17 JULY 'It is not clear at the moment what happened to your parcel. Uk postal service says it has been returned but can't confirm when exactly - usps says it is still at customs for processing. I would like to send you the 2006 module instead '
12 JULY 'It seems that your parcel is in the UK at customs. We are currently working on that with USPS to get it released. If that's not possible we'll post another module as requested'
3 JULY 'The item should be dispatched to you somewhere next week. All is in stock'
29 JUNE 'Your order is def. on its way. Sorry but no more information than that at the moment. We do have a list of tracking numbers but unfortunately not the names, only the country, where the parcels have been sent to. We're working on that to sort out which tracking belongs to whom! As about 260 parcels
have been sent during our holidays for various products this keeps us, lets say, a bit busy (apart from the other work we have to do here). As soon as we've found your tracking we'll let you know. regards'
26 JUNE 'Sorry for not replying earlier but we've been on holidays for the past days. Your item has been shipped already, I will see if I can get the tracking information the next few days after sorting out all the mail here. regards'
9TH MAY 'Your module is here now. We just need to text and configure it. We expect that to happen within the next 5-10 days so it should be soon with you. Kind regards'
2ND NOVEMBER 'Thanks for your order. Your order has been queued. Your current position is 176. We will keep you updated on the progress of your delivery. Kind regards'
We encountered some problems related with the latest
software used on the slks. We isolated the problem and we are going to do
another extensive test at end of this week (we don't have a car at hand all
the time, so we have to wait until one becomes available). We are not
talking about weeks here, no worries - everything is in stock and ready to
ship! We definitely only talk about a few days! We'll not ship until it has
been verified that it works 100%!
You waited so long already, a couple more days won't do any greater damage
anyways, right?;-)
Thanks for your support
Kind regards
ps: the initial package we sent you has been declared a lost package today
by usps.
For him to know that the USPS has lost the package implies some amount of tracking information to get word back to him. Ask him for this information. I'd love to see what he says back :)
I am still confused- how do the United States Postal Service get involved in sending a package from London (England) to the West Midlands (also, I believe in England)[?][?][?] - also, in various other replies from r171.co.uk to other people in the UK who have ordered it, it has been 'held up in customs' I can understand that on consignments to Lancashire([:D]), but honestly, what does HE take us for ???
