I took the car in this morning at 8:30. They are keeping it til tomorrow to fix the problem. I guess it was the unit itself and not just the disk. =(

Wow. That's not a lot of driving at all. I guess taking the car to Vegas the day after I got it wasn't a good idea. Heh. =\

Well, fortunately (or unfortunately) everything is fairly close by and I walk and ride a bike a lot. If I go farther afield it always turns out that someone else drives.But I do have some road trips planned and might make the Route 66 (Santa Monica to Chicago) drive with the national MB club.

BTW Mal:

I haven't had too much interest in the Pebble Beach Concours, due to the steep entrance price (our group just enjoyed the Palo Alto concourse for $20). There is some interest however, in a possible overnighter to Cambria to drive the Big Sur coast and maybe that will let us link up with some So. Cal folks...I will definitely post ahead and see if there is interest...[:D][8D][:)]

Great...I would be interested in that and I am sure some of the other SoCal SLK owners would be interested also.
