Typical Problems & Failures

I am looking at used 1998 & 1999 SLK 230's with anywhere from 13k to 35k miles. What are some problems I should look for? What items fail during the first 60k? What is the reliability of the supercharger? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Problem number 1:
C-pillar rub problem.

Problem number 2:
Fuel gauge becomes incorrect.

Problem number 3:
Vario roof switches.

Problem number 4:
Many people complain about wind noise from window.

Problem number 5:
Interior paint peeling (yes they used paint).

Do not remember any supercharger problems and see no TBS for supercharger.

Have had zero problems with my SLK230, zero repair cost.

There is a seal around the trunk that fails and allows water to get to a pump and wiring for the alarm. If not repaired under warrantee, expect a bill for over $1K to fix.
