What are some signs of damage...(more)

if I hit a curb while making a turn? I made the turn earlier than I am supposed to and struck the curb. The outer rim of the rear tire is all scratched. Will this affect the alignment or damage some parts of the wheel? I probably hit it at 15-20 mph max.

Thanks Linh...

Could you kindly explain what is the 'wheel lip'? I thought the hit was pretty hard. How can you tell if the wheel lip is bent? Thanks!

Many thanks again...

I have heard about the infamous valets in SoCal. While I was living there, I try my very best not to let them valet park the car after seeing one of them gas my SLK so fast on the hotel driveway....

At least there aren't that many potholes in SoCal compared to Boston.
