Question Key fob wont work!!

Stopped working 3 days ago. Bought it 5 years ago from MB. Replaced batteries-no result. Tried it at Autozone on their keyfob stand-not working, but light in my keyfob still lights up. Something wrong with signal of key fob or car receiver. Is there is a fuse in the car for receiver? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you try it with another key fob?

might just have to resyncronise the key fob to the car. check owners manual or search on here... not too hard to do

Heck, my light doesn't work, which means nothing works. I'm back to 1965 putting the key in the door. Thought about getting a new one on the bay, but thought better to not waste my $$$.

does your central locking work from the console?
Does your courtesy light dim when you get in the car or when you open the car door to get out?
If not - then you may have a PSE issue?

If you dont know about the PSE - then that heightens the fact that it might be an issue, given it's probably wet.
Car been out in the rain recently?

Central locking is working.
Courtesy light dims but only turning itself off.
I know nothing about the PSE. What and where is it. Yes I have driven thru melting snow and washed it, so its been around water.

However the light in the key fob never comes on, even when replacing the battery, that's why I think it's dead.

Unfortunately it sounds like the key fob transmitter is no longer working which means replacing it. Even if the PSE was dead, which yours isn't, the car lights should flash when the signal from the key fob is received. Since resync didn't work and batteries have been replaced (your sure their good and in correctly), there isn't much left except the fob itself.
