I'm probably looking to add an R170 to my garage and was wondering what the benefits/tradeoffs were for the different years. Kompressor vs V6, changes through the years, etc.? There wasn't an obvious thread/sticky in my search, so I'm posing the question
All cars have their "bugs" or common issues cant escape that. You would think by reading these threads the SLK230 has lots of issues but that's not really true. A lot more people own one that's all!
even down in AUS if you look at one car sale site (for example) you see
SLK200K - 39 for sale
SLK230K - 62 for sale
SLK320 - 8 for sale
SLK32 - 0 for sale (very rare in AUS)
a lot more 230's on the road..
I would say all are pretty much reliable if they have a good history and well looked after...
GET A 32AMG.
for the few times you will drive it.
