Hey Everyone.
So I got my SLK230 I LOVE THING TO DEATH.
Quick Question Though, the previous owner used 0w-40 MOBILE ONE SYNTHETIC OIL.
Does anyone else use this oil on thier SLK? The car does have 75,000 miles on it.
I do not need to change the oil just yet. But I had this concern.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

German Cars 4 Life.
Thanks.

Mobil 1 in 0w - 40 is the currently spec'd oil for all SLK's.

In New Jersey, factory rec 0-40 syn oil is great.
Here in coastal California where it never freezes; my neighbor, friend , MBZ shop owner, and MBZ factory trained tells me that in all of his service work MBZs, for all models and years he uses syn oil, and for older 190e, 330 e , old SLs, always uses 10 or 20-50 and newer models uses 10- 40 (such as for SLKs). He does use Mobil1 but says ANY syn is better than any standard oil.
