Have an 03 SLK230, when I went to fill the windshield washer up it leaked out from under the car, dealer said this is normal, he showed me on 2 others. They said basically when filling you pour fluid in till it leaks out under the car, kind of crazy!! Anyone else notice this???

Actually I did this last weekend and I was watching the level and when it got to the very top I stopped and put the cap back on, and then I heard the "gas" noise and saw a small amount leak out under the car.
There is a hole in the hose that goes to the washer tank........
The Lo-Jack guy drilled a hole in the washer tank of my '98 SLK. He tried to replace the tank (no big deal), but when we refilled the tank with fluid, the tank appeared to leak down to below the cap area.
The dealer took on the job, and they know what a PIA I am, so they showed me the hole in the filler neck before they installed it. You can't fill the tank up to the cap like you can with most every other car, it WILL leak down.

This is really insane, can't see why they need a drain hole. Every other car you fill it to the top of the neck but with this one you fill it & it drains out. Basically there is no way to not have it drain since even if you let the container go empty how will you know when to stop filling. It is not only insane but really stupid on MB's part.

Related question about windshield washer fuild. What type do you use? The requiremented MB fuild or just any kind you find at a store on sale for $.99?
The manual has more than one sentence about the subject and they list a part number for their approved product (001 986 19 71 11) which is Windshield Washer Concentrate "S", which you mix with water. It is okay to mix with "commercially available premixed windshield washer solvent/antifreeze" for temperatures below freezing. However if my motor for the spray goes out, it could not be because of the fact that my $.99 fuild does not have the special "S" lubrication, if any, for the motor, I hope not.
