"B" service question

Just had "B" service today on our 2000 SLK 230
with 20058 miles. Still had 900 miles
to go according to FSS counter. Dealer did not
hassle me for bringing the car in early.

I was assured that "B" service included a new
air cleaner, but, I have a feeling this is not
true. These are the parts replaced with the
"B" service:

104-180-01-09 Filter Eleme
007603-014106 Ring,General
210-830-08-18 Combination
001-986-80-71-10 Windshield W

Nothing above sounds like the air cleaner. Can
anyone confirm the part number for the engine
air cleaner on the 2000 SLK 230?

I also had the dealer replace the coolant and
brake fluid which totaled $215. If it was not
so cold here in OH I would have probably done
this myself.

The 104-180-01-09 is the oil filter, not sure what the 007603-014106 is but it could be the rubber ring that goes on the Oil filter cap. The "windshield w" is just windshield washer fuild. Now the question is what is 210-830-08-18, I am looking at my one and only invoice for service of my SLK230 and it has the same number, 210-830-08-18 Combination for $52.73, so what is it? I think it is the Engine Air filter and the Air Conditioning Air filter (which is located under your glove department), two different parts, but I think MB replaces them at the same time, therefore the word "Combination"). The engine air filter has the part number of 604 094 01 04 and is priced at $19.50. So the air condition filter is around, $33.23???

So how much did they charge for the...

So how much did they charge for the 210-830-08-18 Combination (HVAC)? Looks like they did not change the engine air filter in your and my car. But they where more concerned about our health, did not want to lose any buying customers!

My 99 got a "B" Service at 18,688 right before I bought it, here are the parts my dealer replaced;

604-094-09-04 Filter Elemen
210-830-08-18 Combination(?)
170-824-01-27 Wiper Blade(2 of them)
104-180-01-09 Filter Elemen
007603-014106 Ring, General
001-986-44-71-10 Solvent, Win

I got one more filter and a pair of wiper blades(in bold)

How much did they charge?

This was the no charge "B" service, so, no
price was listed for the "Combination" filter.
It looks like I should have put the summer
wipers on to get the replacement refills.

I will stop by the parts counter in the near
future to purchase an air cleaner and report
the part number then. I could have done this
on the last trip if the service counter knew
what was actually included with the "B" service!
