Angry Fuel Tank Filling Problem SLK320 Pump keeps shutting off

I have a SLK320 which I acquired a few months ago. The car has been great so far expect when I have to fill the car at the gas station. The problem I have is that the fuel pump at the gas station stops every second. It takes me about 20 minutes to fill up the tank since the pump keep shutting all the time. I have tried to keep the nozzle out a little when filling but no success. Even at the smallest fuel flow from the fuel pump it keep shutting. I have tried different gas stations and no luck. It is unbelievable and I can not figure out what could be the problem.
I need to mention though that all this time I have had this problem at every fill up expect two times that I was able to fill the car completely without the fuel pump shutting off all the time. I can not explain how and why that happened or what caused it to work those times.

Please if you have any ideas share. I can work on these cars myself to some extend.

I have, for a long time. Haven't been able to find a solution to my problem. I think I know which post you are talking about but didn't find any help there.

Any ideas?
Do you think it could be the gas tank vent or the CHARCOAL CANISTER?

Thank you for your link. From the link you gave me it seems that it is the canister valve. One of the posts there had the same problem and it was fixed by the dealer by replacing the canister valve. He had it done by the dealer but I will try to get that fixed myself.

Anyone done this themselves before? I assume other models have the same system.

im not sure about the 320 but i would assume its the same. try to ask the dealer or post a new thread on the forum. im pretty sure its the canister, 20 mins on a pump would be a real hassle

Update.

I took the car to the gas station again a few minutes ago. There I removed the purge valve and tried to fill the car but gas station pump was still shutting off.

So I guess my problem is not the purge valve.

Any ideas what else????

Scary

What I am thinking off is scaring me. If you look on the image attached here I think tank overfill check valve or the fuel filler tube check valve may be stuck.

I think it may be one of these because as soon as I try to put gas in the pump stops. If it was the charcoal canister shutoff valve than I would think that it may take a few seconds for the gas station pump to shut off at the beginning since the air can compress.

Any suggestions here?
