Fuel Pump

Hi all,

Yeh i just came from Mercedes Parramatta, and they are charging me $1400 for just a fuel pump that is not including labour, do u guys recond it is a rip off??
or should i go ahead with it?

If you want it urgently try Silver Star Spares in Kingsgrove - they are pretty reasonable

I have the C Class Manual (same as SLK) if you want to know how to do it

WOW, I got a high preformance Pierburg fuelpump for 250 dollars and installation taked 30 minutes.

LMAO F**K them, they will be robbing you... You can easily get to your fuel pump... See in pictures below.... Its the silver thing with the blue band...

It sits undernieth the car, behind a plastic cover. Passenger side rear. Very Simple to swap out, literaly plug and play, maby a couple of screws... Simple, Ill do it for 800including a flight out to where ever you are and a 6 pack of beer! lmao simple DIY!

Can you give us the part number of this 5 bar fuel pump, I just might need one. Also, if you got this off the internet, where did you get it? Thanks alot.

IdK he lives in australia! Hell yea ill find my way there for 550! I have family there, i wish i could go, and deff for the warm weather!

Thebenzbin shows the Pierburg SKU as WO 133-1600340 ($291)

This is for the pre facelift model - could be a diff pump range for 2000-2004 models altho' the ebay seller says the Pierburg will do both

Sure that its the fuel pump not the K40 relay that needs replacing.........
