Agree with AM/PM - what you probably have is a failed clamp where one of the hoses go onto the filter or pump and get a bit of evaporated fuel smell.

Clip a bit off and use a standard jubilee clamp to replace - original clamps cannot be used again

Hi Bazzle! You tell that is possible the fuel filler cap....
When i open the fuel filler cap always i hear the gas (a lot). My mechanic told me the same. And he told me to make a small hole in the fuel cap to breathe and not accumulate gases. It is as if the deposit is very tight and not leaving gases.
Is it may need to change the carbon canister that is dirty or broken?
Do you know the reference of the piece carbon canister?
Thank you another time!

Drill a hole in the gas cap, and you will get a fuel warning light!

Don't do it.

I too have a large build up of pressure which is released when I undo my petrol filler cap, almost blows off in my hands when I twist it!
Can this Carbon canister be causing this, Do you have to replace the whole canister or is it possible to just service it? Thanks
