Hello I have an slk 230 1999 and I have an ECU part number of A028 545 4432. The dealer said their are 7 different part numbers/versions that can work for my vin. Does anyone know if part number A023 545 4132 would work? I wish I had a list of compatable Ecu's..
A clue?? Is it true that the ECU on this has a VIN burned into to the ECU that only a dealer can change? They are not transferable like other parts for security issuses???? Has anyone delt with something like this???

You might want to do a search on that, We had a fellow a while back that tried to put a used ECU in his car and had a LOT of trouble with things going strange on him.
If the dealer says the ECU he plans on selling you will work, it's on his shoulders to in fact make it work, and make it work correctly.
